Event Schedule For 2016

The Ohio Mile

Located at Airborne Park, southeast side of the town of Wilmington, Ohio just off Interstate 71 midway between Cincinnati and Columbus.

Track entrance is off of Airborne Road.  An address to use for your GPS is 2870 Old State Road 73. This is a business across the street from the entrance of the track.

We use FM Radio for speed broadcasts. Frequencies will be posted as you come into the track and remember to bring your lawn/beach chairs so you can relax and watch some of the fasest racing vehicles in the world streak down the course!

SCHEDULE

 

Spectators  $15 for the weekend, $10 for Sunday. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and and FM radio as our announcer calls the races over an FM Channel. Depending on reception it can change and we'll inform you what it is at the meet itself. 

Cars and Bikes compete at all events.

– The Hot Rod Magazine Top Speed Challenge will be held at the May meet. For detail on past years' rules, look here. Note that the current rules for the HRM Challenge have not been announced, so check Hot Rod Magazine's upcoming issues or check back here for more detail when the rules are announced.

– The Motorcycle Top Speed Shootout will be held at the September meet.

TWO DAY MEET (JUNE)

Friday:
Gates open at 8:00 AM
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Registration
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Vehicle Inspections (on a limited basis as inspectors are available)
4:30 PM – Rookie Orientation*
Gates close at 6:00 PM

Saturday:
Gates open at 6:00 AM
7:30 AM – Rookie Orientation*
8:00 AM – Registration and Vehicle Inspections
8:30 AM – Mandatory Driver/Crew Safety and Instructional Meeting
9:00 AM – Racing Begins
11:30 AM – Rookie Orientation* (as needed)
6:00 PM – End of Saturday Racing
Gates close at 7:00 PM

Sunday:
Gates open at 7:00 AM
8:00 AM – Racing begins
4:00 PM – End of Sunday Racing
Gates close at 6:00 PM

*Mandatory attendance required at one Rookie Orientation for all new competitors

THREE DAY MEET (APRIL AND SEPTEMBER)

Thursday:
Gates open at 6:30 AM **RACERS ARE TO PARK ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE GATE IF THEY ARRIVE PRIOR TO 6:30 AM. DO NOT PARK OUTSIDE THE GATE ON THE GRASS.**
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Registration

Friday:
